Marita Caley - Missionary to France

Marita Caley is a daughter of God who has followed His calling to the city of Paris. She grew up on a farm in South Africa but always dreamed of living in the big city. She never could have imagined that this could lead her to plant a church in Paris.

As a law student she had a destiny altering encounter with the Lord and clearly felt the calling into the ministry. After completing her studies in Law, she did a “year of your life” program at her church. She went on to become the lead campus minister and lead a large campus ministry as a single women. She later pursued an opportunity to study in Los Angeles through the Every Nation School of Ministry, which gave her greater equipping for her life’s calling.

For a season, she and her husband led a thriving campus ministry at the University of Johannesburg. In 2010 they planted their first church. Surprisingly, the call to France came within the first two years of this church plant. Although Marita was puzzled by this, she knew that it wouldn’t make sense to resist the Lord (remember Jonah!).

After five years of God building more skills into them and getting them ready for their next ministry assignment, they moved to France in 2016 with the dream to plant churches. They planted Every Nation Paris in 2018 with a focus on reaching internationals. Three years later, they both heard from the Lord that they were to focus on reaching the French. They handed the church over in September 2021 and started an internship with a French church in the north of Paris. After a couple of months, Marita was asked to take over the leadership of the church’s School of Discipleship. Today, they continue to improve speaking French and building friendships with the French people as they share the Good News.

Marita is married to Ryan and they have two sons, Daniel (15) and Evan (11). To be a wife and mother is the greatest honor of her life. She loves cooking, fashion, homemaking, having coffee with friends, running, and living in the beautiful surroundings of the South of Paris. To preach, teach, prophesy, and make disciples is what makes her come alive. She has overcome PTSD, which she has battled for two and a half years. She lives with a renewed sense of purpose and gratefulness for the gift of love and life.
