Christine Gerard Thomas was born in Irwin, Pennsylvania to Bill and Loretta Gerard, the middle child of seven children. She received a dual major from Slippery Rock State University in Sociology and Public Administration. She also obtained her masters degree in Social Work and Public Administration from the University of Maryland at Baltimore, followed by a license to practice in Maryland where she did so from 1990 - 2015.

She has been happily married to her husband Terry for 37 years and they have 3 children together - Michelle (35), Michael (32), and Timothy (29), and two grandchildren, Caden (3), and MacKenzie (10 mon.)

Christine's primary focus was staying home with her children until the youngest started in the 1st grade. After that transition, she worked for the state of Maryland as manager of a crisis unit for adolescents (RICA), followed by contract work as Master Facilitator for a drug and alcohol prevention program for DHHS. In recent years, she's worked as the Assistant Director of Admission for an all boys private high school in Maryland. She retired from her successful career in 2021.

Christine has traveled extensively throughout the US, visiting most of the 50 states, and numerous National Parks with family and friends. Her most recent passion is biking with other couples on "Rail to Trail" adventures. She just returned from a long overdue anniversary trip with her husband where they spent 16 days visiting 5 of the Hawaiian Islands. She loves the beach and stays at their second home in Bethany Beach, Delaware from April to October each year where she plays Pickleball and Volleyball with old and new friends.
