When we think about the Fall, one of the universal things that comes to mind is the harvest. But what must precede the harvest is the sowing of seed. The content of the seed determines what will be harvested.

Nature has found many ways to scatter seed. In the Bible, Jesus often spoke of sowing seeds and reaping. He likens the Word of God to a seed sown in the heart of man that would produce fruit that would feed not only the heart it was sown in, but those around it as well.

One of the many areas that we as women have the privilege to sow seeds of life is into the next generations. As we consider the harvest, the harvest that is reaped in the hearts and lives of our children is a powerful one.

This month, we are going to revisit the passion of a mother sowing into the education of her children.
