GOD

God is the Creator and Ruler (Sustainer) of the universe. He has existed forever (eternally), in the form of three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are one God and coequal.

BIBLE

The Bible is God’s Word to us. Human authors who were guided supernaturally by the Holy Spirit wrote the Bible. Being inspired and autographed by God, it is truth without error. For Christians it is the supreme authority on life and living.

PEOPLE

We believe that all people are created in the spiritual image of God and made to be like Him in character. Human Beings are the supreme objects of God’s love. Although every person has a tremendous potential for good, they are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin” which causes many problems in our life. Unless they have experienced forgiveness in Jesus Christ, they will continue to be alienated from Him and His exciting plan for their life.

JESUS

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Fully God, he entered human form by the conception of the Holy Spirit and was miraculously born of the Virgin Mary. Jesus lived a sinless life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. Three days later he arose from the dead, demonstrating his conquering power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven where he sits at the right hand of God as our friend and advocate and will return one day to the earth to rule as King.

SALVATION

Salvation is the free gift of God to us but we must choose to accept it. Our sin can never be erased through our own good works or by systems of self-improvement. Salvation is by faith; trusting God’s forgiveness through Jesus Christ. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. This is the only “way” to be free from the penalty of sin. Eternal life begins at the moment of salvation and God adopts us into His family as sons and daughters.

HOLY SPIRIT

Sent by the Father, the Holy Spirit is present in the world to make all people aware of their need for Jesus. The Holy Spirit brings about the new birth and from the moment of salvation lives in every believer. He provides every Christian with the power for living, spiritual gifts, the understanding for spiritual truth, and the guidance for doing what is right.

ETERNITY

People are created to exist forever and to enjoy eternal life one day through the resurrection of our bodies. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with Him through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life in Heaven. Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence.
